Who is Liable to Pay Professional Tax in Telangana?

As per the provisions of the Act:

  • Any individual, professional, or employer liable under this Act must pay Professional Tax.
  • Employers are required to deduct PT from employee salaries and deposit it with the state government.

Exemption:

  • The Act does not currently specify any exemptions.

Required Documents for PT Registration in Telangana

The following documents are generally required to register for Professional Tax in Telangana:

  1. Memorandum of Association (MOA)
  2. Articles of Association (AOA)
  3. PAN Card of the entity
  4. Registered Lease Agreement
  5. Employer’s Address Proof, ID Proof, and Passport-sized Photographs
  6. Board Resolution authorizing signatory
  7. Proof of Residence and ID of Directors, Proprietor, Managing Partner, or Authorized Signatory (Aadhaar)
  8. Total Number of Employees
  9. Registration Fee: ₹2,500 per director
  10. Bank Account Details with Cancelled Cheque
  11. Sale Deed / Lease Deed / NOC for rent-free premises (for each additional place of business – 1st & last page)
